A cattle manager raised in Samson, Alabama, JT operates a registered Angus Cattle Ranch. In addition to preparing the land and working the cattle, this southern charmer is responsible for all the paperwork and marketing associated with running the business.

This ambitious 24-year-old gets fired up when people insult his intelligence and says "I'm not a dumb hillbilly, so don’t think it!" However, this may be just the strategy that JT chooses to use and isn’t above playing the “dumb and innocent country boy role” in an effort to gain alliances with the women. JT attended Troy University and is the first in his family to earn a Bachelors Degree. His is in business administration.

A true family man, JT values his relationships and will work towards forming alliances that will take him very far in the game. This strong country boy is competitive and determined and will use manipulation in order to help him succeed and ultimately win SURVIVOR.

JT is single and currently resides in Mobile, Ala. His birthdate is June 23.

Jeff Probst: JT (James) Likeable kid. Runs a ranch. He knows what hard work is. I think JT is OK being by himself, which is also good out here 'cause there's a lot of lonely nights. I think JT's gonna get flirted with...and probably do some heavy flirting himself.

I love outdoors. I've been on a river all my life. It just so happens we're on a river this time. But I love the outdoors and I don't feel like I'm gonna have a problem feeding myself. Most everyone else appears to be kind of more into city life and not so much outdoors. I'm gonna try to fit in with the crowd and not put myself out on a pedestal. I've always been able to fit in with any crowd, anywhere I've been. Through college and through all my jobs I've always been able to fit in. Everyone's usually liked me so I feel that will help me along the way.

The tougher it gets out here, I know for me...it's gonna be tougher for them 'cause I've been in a lot of terrains and been in a lot of outdoor situations. So I feel like the tougher it is for me the tougher...it's gonna be more tough for them. They say you can't trust anyone in a game like this but you have to find someone you can trust. You gotta get on the numbers side until it gets down to the Final 6 or 7 and then that's when you throw trust out the window and turn your gameface on. That's what I plan to do. I do have a bad side that's probably my impatience or things that get on my nerves really bad. And I tend to let people know it. I'm gonna do my best not to do that during this show...during this game...keep that to myself.

Well, I've always been a camping...outdoor kind of person...for someone to have a chance to come out and try to do this with no help, no tent, no grill no anything like that is an ultimate challenge. And then the fact that someone adds a million dollars to the end of that for the sole Survivor is just that much more thrilling for me.

This is very important for me, there's a lot at stake for me. I've always challenged myself and most of the time I come out on top. And this is going to be the ultimate challenge. The elements, the wildlife and all is gonna be a challenge but most of all it's the people. Fitting in and surviving their competition and aggressiveness. It's gonna be the ultimate challenge.
