Tribal
Council Voting
The
Fans strategically send home another strong player, Mikey.
Watch as they cast their votes.
Jason
("Chet!"): Again, my vote is for Chet. Please
leave the island.
Alexis
(Chet): Like Jason said, this is just hoping we have a
stronger team so we can start winning some more challenges.
It's not personal, Chet.
Chet (Mike): Mike,
you've been a loudmouth from day one and you never seem to
learn.
Natalie (Mikey B;
doesn't quite look at the camera): Gotta do it.
Mikey B (Chet): Even
though it's obviously not you, Romper Room has gotten the
best of me. Even though it's not you, probably, it seems
Romper Room has gotten the best of us.
Tracy (Mike): This is
because you were completely dishonest with me from day one,
you never gave me a chance. No hard feelings.
Joel (Mike): (smiles
and folds his vote)
Kathy (Mikey B with a
sad face): This actually makes me feel kind of sad cause I
kind of like you, Mike, but everyone...this is consensus, so
I guess it's your time to go. But I'm sorry, cause I
actually kind of liked you.
Erik (Mikey B): I'm
voting for you cause I don't trust you right now and this
tribe needs some unity, it really does need unity. You don't
have that. You can't bring that. I'm sorry.
Secret Scene
It's
Mikey versus the elements. Watch Mikey's fire making
skills...a work in progress.
(Alexis and Kathy try to work on the fire)
Mikey B (solo): The
fire was out. We had to start from scratch. Kathy got it
going with Alexis and then I jumped in to help with the fire
and we were just removing a couple pieces of bamboo that
were not quite burning as good as we would have liked. And
all of a sudden I was on fire. The bamboo hit something in
the fire pit, the coals went flying. I brushed one off, then
I put my hand down and was like, "Whoo!" Then I
was like, "Whoa!" I had one on my head. (touches
his head) I was like, "Wow!" I had one on my
shorts, burnt through my shorts. I had one on my butt. I
just got up and went and just ran into the ocean and just
dove in.
(Mikey runs into the ocean and returns with a few burn holes
in his shorts)
Joel: What did you
burn yourself?
Mikey: A bunch of
embers just went flying on me.
Joel: But I mean
what...Oh yeah. Your shorts are all burned up.
(Mikey pulls down his shorts slightly)
Mikey: It just burnt
through. I think I just burnt my ass. (checks his ass) Oh my
God, I did.
Joel: You did...bad?
(Mikey turns around to show them his pixelated backside)
Joel: Oh geez...oh
yeah. (closeup of a burn mark on his cheek) Come here.
Joel (solo): Mikey's
kind of his own worst enemy. I don't know what he was doing
with the fire, but he goes running into the water, pulling
at the back of his shorts because he got an ember in his
shorts and burned his butt really bad.
Joel: That's got to
heal. Bad burn bro. That's not like a blister burn. That
thing burned the top of your skin off.
Mikey: (amused) I'll
tell ya...you will NEVER see me camping again. EVER.
Mikey (solo): Another
part of the island, kicking my ass. That's all it is.
(Mikey laughs)
Chicken a la Malakal
The Favorites at Malakal
celebrate winning chickens at the Reward Challenge. Watch as
they do the chicken dance and fantasize about the many ways
to cook their new pets.
(Jonathan and James carry the chicken coop back from the
challenge)
Jonathan: You're
going to your new home, boys and girls.
Eliza: Good job guys.
(Cirie and Jonathan coo over the chickens)
Jonathan: We just won
three chickens and a rooster. We got feed. There's nothing
like victory to pull a tribe together. The mood in the camp
is a lot better than it was before.
Cirie: One is Gloria,
one is Charlie. (Parvati says she wants to rename one
"Juanita").
James (pointing the
machete at each chicken): That's Fried, Baked, Barbecued.
(Cirie and Jonathan laugh)
Parvati: Guys, you're
scaring them. They're not going to lay eggs if you keep
talking like that.
(Cirie coos some more while James talks to
"Barbecue")
Jonathan (solo):
James is looking forward to being the butcher, I think.
We're all just fantasizing now about how we're going to cook
the dang things.
Cirie (tending the
fire): I have plenty of chicken recipes. We can have
barbecue chicken, we got baked chicken...
(chicken makes a noise)
Ami (in the woods
with Parvati and Amanda): If you take a chicken and stuff it
with plums and mandarin oranges and walnuts and mint...
Cirie: We take a
little pit...
Jonathan (another
interview): ...with coals. You bury it under the ground, you
wrap it up in palm leaves...
Cirie: Then cover it
with coals, then cover it with dirt...
Jonathan: Just let it
simmer for a couple hours...
(closeup of rooster)
James: Bell peppers,
onions, mushrooms...
Ami: Gets crispy on
the edges. The inside's really sweet and juicy. Ooohhh...
Cirie: I think we'll
have finger-licking good chicken.
(Ami, Parvati, Jonathan, and Eliza do the chicken dance)
Jonathan: We keep
winning reward and all the fans got is a hatchet, and a pot,
and flint, I think. We've got unbelievable bounty over here.
Cirie's Position at Malakal
Cirie deals with the
backlash of flipping on her alliance. After learning Ami
voted for her, Cirie feels vindicated and pleased with her
decision to align with the couples.
"I'm feeling solid in the alliance I chose. I just...I
have a lot of questions about Ami. Even though I didn't go
with her alliance I fought for her hard with Parvati and
those guys and I tried to convince them Ami was trustworthy
and maybe we should bring her along. I didn't really fight,
actually I did fight for Eliza when they wanted to vote her
out, but I didn't really push the issue as far as fighting
her into the alliance, which now makes me question maybe I
should have. Ami gives me this lame excuse as to why she
voted for me last night, because she felt I wasn't being
totally honest with her when I said I was gonna vote Yau Man
and I was planning on voting Yau-Man."
(cut)
"I'm just trying to keep the peace here, but I totally
have reservations about Ami, because like I said, I never
would have written her name down. I didn't really do
anything to her. If you're telling me you don't have qualms
about voting somebody out, what's the big deal if they get
voted out. How do you feel betrayed that this same person
you said you didn't care if they got voted out gets voted
out. What is that to you? I think it's a little bit of bull
mixed in Ami's story, and I just know to watch her
now."
(cut)
"Ami, Yau-Man, and Jonathan may have had their own
separate little alliance why she was so distraught over
Yau-Man getting out, she turned on Eliza. I'm trying to
fight for Eliza to stay in the game when Ozzy and those guys
are like, 'Maybe it should be Eliza,' and I'm like, 'No, it
should be Yau-Man,' Ami walks right up to the group and
says, 'Well, Yau-Man is stronger in challenges than Eliza.'
Whoa, I thought you had an alliance with Eliza? So Ami lost
about 25 cool points with me. Nuh-uh."
(cut)
"The fact that Ami voted for me and the fact that her
story didn't really add up is a clear signal to me that I
can't trust her as much as I thought I could."
(cut)
"I felt like I made the completely right decision when
it comes to my position in this game. The antics that went
on at Tribal and around camp here after Tribal just
solidified it for me, just made me absolutely sure I made
the right decision. I can understand you might feel
like I thought we had an alliance, I thought you were with
us, I can see being hurt by that. But the people that we're
playing with, it's moreso, 'Damn, I thought I would be in a
position of having the numbers and she screwed it up for
me.' That's all it is. They try to put it on what's best for
the team, blah blah blah. What you think is best for the
team and what this side thinks is best for the team is not
adding up, so somebody's lying, somebody's playing for
themselves and what's best for them in a position with the
numbers. Everybody's looking at me like, (mocks) 'How could
you turn on me?' Whatever. I'm playing for me just like
everybody else is here."
(cut)
"This time for me, I had to make a move early. I didn't
have an option. I had to pick sides. In Panama, everything
was basically planned out and I could float along until I
could fit in. Here, everything is on my shoulders, which way
are you gonna go, and make sure you know which way to go. I
turned left instead of right and I feel like left was the
right way for me."
(cut)
"As soon as you get in your head in this game that
you're safe and you can just relax, as soon as you let your
guard down, you're voted out. I always...I never feel
comfortable in this game. I'm never gonna let my guard down,
even with the alliance I'm in. Yeah, I trust them, but at
the same time I'm gonna keep my eye on all of them."
Mikey B's
Final Words
Frustrated and disappointed
with his early departure from the game, Mikey reveals how he
really feels about his tribe mates. He predicts: the Fans
stand no chance against the Favorites.
"Don't trust Joel. He'll stab you in the back. (points
at his back) Hey, it's a game, what're you gonna do about
it. It's just a shame I got paired with a bunch of
weak-minded and physical players and they all begged down
like a puppy dog to Mister Joel with all his family stories
and his firefighter stories. I see nothing but hair on your
back and hair all over your body, buddy. You got nothing but
dishonest bones to me. Whatever. I'm gonna have fun watching
you lose, and it's inevitable, because you paired yourself
with weak. Good job buddy, you did good." (gives a
thumb up and makes a "special" face before waving
his hand dismissively)
(cut)
"No, I'm not surprised it's me because I'm playing with
a bunch of weak players who listened to Joel. Joel's only
goal is to get to the merge. He doesn't care if he eats,
sleeps, drinks, it doesn't matter, he's gonna bring
everybody along to the merge and then he'll do whatever he
can. He'll switch tribes and then everybody will be like,
(mocking tone and stupid face), 'Did Joel really do that to
me? Oh my God, I can't believe it.' Chet, and Tracy (runs
his fingers over his mouth). Kathy, I like you (thumbs up),
you're a good girl. Erik you're a competitor (thumbs up and
makes jogging motions), you're a real competitor, in your
jogging outfit from wherever you're from...Eastern Michigan.
You wanna compete, that's why you came to Survivor, to
compete. Sure buddy. You couldn't even open a lock. You
couldn't even hit a key and catch it. You've done nothing
buddy. Stick to running, man."
(cut)
"My regret was thinking Joel would actually have a mind
to pair up with me where we could have run the whole game
and stayed strong. I wanted to pair up with him. I wanted to
pair up with the hairy beast."
(cut)
"I guess I came out too strong, I don't know. I didn't
see it. I saw a great opportunity to have fun. It was
obvious who needed to go, it's still obvious who needs to
go, and it will be obvious who needs to go, and that's it. I
guess I spoke too soon on who I wanted to align with but I
never said specifically this was the plan, my way or the
highway. Maybe his hair got caught in his ears, I don't
know."
(cut)
"I'm rooting for Jason and Alexis only from the fans.
They have no shot. It's not even worth stressing about
because they have zero chance. They're a tribe divided, a
tribe that is weak, a tribe that either doesn't know how to
play the game or doesn't want to play the game. It's
unfortunate."
(cut)
"Hell yeah, they made a mistake voting me off. Of
course. I was never strong opinionated on the challenges,
like the big guy said. Never put my foot in my mouth of we
need to do it this way we need to do it that way. I don't
know what they're looking at because I'm the only one with
scrapes on my knees from the football challenge, giving
120%. Nobody else even has a flesh wound. I sunk as many
baskets as anybody in the whole game with the basketball.
The swimming one, I was the only one on my tribe to smash a
box and look where it goes. Wow, the difficulty in that. I
did well underwater with the coconuts. Yeah, they're gonna
be hurting without me. I wasn't a complainer. I was good
around camp. I didn't consider myself to be the great
outdoorsman but I never rested, I was never lazy, I did what
I could to help the tribe. So yeah, they're gonna miss me,
no doubt."
(cut)
"Sorry boys back home. Disappointed ya. Disappointed
myself. What a shame. What a shame. Wish I got more of the
experience because it was an honor to be here. I had a blast
every step I was here. I don't regret anything. I wish I was
in the game longer. I wish I'd won one fricking reward
challenge. That would have been nice, to actually celebrate
once. But no, it was a good time, I'm glad I'm here. That's
it. I'm not even hungry, so I'm not even looking forward to
the chocolate sundae I'm going to have in about an hour. I
might not even eat it."
Mikey B The Day After
Mikey looks back on the
inherent paranoia that got the best of the tribe,
distracting them from their number one goal: getting to the
merge with greater numbers than the Favorites.
There's a lot different about watching Survivor on TV and
actually playing in the game."
(cut)
"The actual lying and deception that actually has to go
into the game immediately is tough to get adjusted to."
(cut)
"I didn't really lie too much in the game that I
played. I didn't feel I was at that stage where I had to. I
wanted to be honest with people and strengthen the tribe
within that honesty."
(cut)
"I spoke to Joel about voting out the weaker players
early on in the game, and he spoke to me back about the same
thing, about how Chet, Tracy, and Kathy didn't seem to want
to be there and they were bringing us down. He was lying to
me because he had a different plan. I was being genuine to
him because I thought it would strengthen our tribe."
(cut)
"I think our tribe was absolutely paranoid from the
beginning, although I do think you do tend to get a little
more paranoid and you should be. I understand it to a point,
but no, I think everyone was paranoid from the beginning. To
me, there's two parts of the game. The first part is
strengthening your tribe to gain numbers at the merge, and
the second game is to out-duel and outwit and outlast
everybody else. People on my tribe were really paranoid from
the beginning and thinking about the second phase of the
game during the first phase of the game. I'm extremely
confident it's going to bite them all in the ass. To me, the
tribe they have right now they cannot win and they cannot
stay healthy, strong."
(cut)
"I think the paranoia affected our tribe cohesion based
on Joel. I think Joel was paranoid from the beginning that I
was going to turn on him at some point in the game and he
needed to keep me at a distance from him and he felt the
need to switch the game right away and go with the older
weaker players to gain the advantage over myself and the
younger players who seemed to have the strength and the will
and the desire to play."
(cut)
"By me not voicing my opinion about Joel to everybody
certainly put me in a precarious situation because a lot of
the people didn't have the same views as I did. But I did
speak to Erik personally about it hoping Erik could spread
the word to Natalie. I knew Natalie was not going to betray
Joel no matter what. It was my plan to get through Erik, who
was a young kid and who was definitely listening to Joel a
little too much, a little more than he should have. I was
trying to stress my disappointment in Erik for following
Joel by taking a weaker crew who are not going to fare well
in the challenges and hoping it got through to Erik and Erik
could spread the word to Natalie. As far as the other three,
Chet, Tracy, and Kathy, I did not want to go to war with
them. I did not want to go to war with them. To me it would
have been advanced my game maybe three, four, five spots,
but to me it wasn't going to allow me to win the game. I
took a risk by blending into the game and becoming one of
the members again by letting my tribe know slowly but surely
that if this is Joel's plan, he's going to cut you up and
devour you."
