Segment 3:

Probst's Thoughts (Aras):  What most appealed to me about Aras was the struggle he had in trying to play this game with integrity and still win, which is not easy to do.  I think Aras actually was one of the guys who helped get this momentum from day one about playing with integrity.  We had a lot of people and Aras wasn't shy about it.  He didn't back off of what he believed in even though he was headed into territory that he wasn't sure how it would play.  I really respected that about him and personally I'd like to have more guys like him on the show.

Caller:  What's the most important lesson you learned on the island that you are going to carry with you through your life?

Aras:  The most important lesson I learned is that I still have a lot to learn.  Re-watching the show I was like, geez, I did some things that were pretty immature.  I did some things that were pretty cool, too.

Danielle:  For me, just going through that whole experience, you really do feel like you can accomplish anything after doing this.  You feel indestructible after this.  It was such a difficult experience and to make it the whole 39 days was pretty impressive.

JM:  Would you do it again if there was an All Stars?

Danielle:  I would.  I can't believe I'm saying it.

Aras:  I think they should do an All Stars but with the first voted off.  They should do 8 of the winners and 8 of the first off. [dumb idea]

JM:  We would win because we're better than them.

DR: You could be on both teams.

JM:  Shut up.  I won one and I quit.  That doesn't count!  If all my family members are healthy I'd be in kick butt mode.

Caller:  Aras, your rivalry with Terry, was it mainly a heat of the moment thing or did you really have a problem with him?

Aras:  The heat of the moment, it was a couple of moments.  Terry came in and he was in a tough situation.  He didn't have the numbers.  At the time he kind of rubbed me the wrong way.  I'm sure a lot of it was because he was beating me so bad.  At this point, I have so much respect for Terry.  He's a great guy.  It was a lot of misunderstanding and it was probably a lot of ego.  It was a wonderful rivalry.  It got me pumped.  It got Terry pumped and it was fun to watch.   I learned a lot about myself from that.  I learned that a 46 year old man could take me down pretty much anytime.

DR:  We would see you and Cirie sort of rolling eyes at Terry but when they'd come here to the studio they'd be saying such great things about him.

Aras:  Around camp at the time there were some things that we kind of had a problem with.  At the time.

Danielle:  There were some issues.

Aras:  But you realize you're not eating and he's in a tough situations with six people he doesn't know.

Danielle:  Sometimes the whole respect thing.  Some people didn't think he spoke with respect.  We always talked about it openly.  For the most part everything was cool.  There was just tiffs along the way.

Aras:  Even though he kind of rubbed people the wrong way, he won people over.  Everybody who came in here has had something great to say about Terry and he's won me over.  I can only say good things about that guy.  I'd actually like to say good things about Cirie Fields, too.  She's awesome.

Danielle:  She played the game very well.

DR:  When did you first see it?  What she was doing?

Aras:  When we got to the beach for the first time, we were already in an alliance of four.  Cirie came up to me and talked to me about an alliance.  I told her that I didn't really want to do the alliance thing.  So much for that integrity thing.  I'm in an alliance and now I've got to lie about it.  I realized that she's here to play.  You could just kind of see it more and more and more.  She was friends with both of us.  She definitely had our back.

Danielle:  She definitely did.

Aras:  Absolutely kept us both in the game that's for sure.

Caller:  Aras, I gained a lot of respect for you when you were the only one that hung in there against Terry when everybody else was stuffing their faces.  If Terry had decided to vote Danielle out on F4, would you have taken Cirie with you or would you have taken Terry with you?  Maybe you would have lost if you'd went up against Cirie.

Aras:  I think for sure I would have lost to Terry.  And I would have taken Cirie just because we were close like that from the start.  It was never a question and I don't think I would have beat Cirie either.

Danielle:  I think you had a better shot of beating Terry than Cirie.

Aras:  I don't think I could have beaten Terry or Cirie. If I go up against Terry I think Courtney, Shane, the two La Minas...I think Bruce had a lot of respect for Terry.  That's five.  And then I think Danielle and Cirie for me.  That's 5 to 2.

Danielle: I would have voted for you.

Aras:  So it's maybe 5 to 2 if I go up against Terry.  Terry was...made a strong run down towards the end.

JM:  Danielle, what are you going to do now? Any big plans?  Are you going to go back to work?

Danielle:  I'm going to go back to my medical sales job.  I'm going to market myself as best I can.  Leave my doors open.  I'm 24, I'm young.  I'm definitely ready to take the next step in my life and try something new.  Sports, sidelines, something like Danni Boatwright.

JM:  [puts on one of Aras' tundra hats]  Tell us about this.

Aras:  Right before I left for Survivor I started this company.  We sell hats.  It's called Tundragear.com.  We sell different NFL pins and different college pins.  It's a cool little company that I started.  And I'm teaching yoga.

JM:  No big plans?  Do you want to do any acting?  Hosting?

Aras:  I don't know if you can tell, I'm a terrible actor.  My grandfather was actually an actor.  He was on Days of our Lives for a long time and I don't want to ruin the family name by doing something that he did well.

DR:  Well you did this well, you took home a million dollars.  Before we wrap up let's take a look at what's going to happen next season.  Season 13 of Survivor in the Cook Islands.  Check out the promo.

<Survivor: Cook Islands promo>

JM:  That looks like the Pearl Islands logo.

Aras:  That's a cool logo.  What do you think the twist to Exile Island is going to be?

DR:  I don't think they've figured it out.

JM:  I hear they're going to bring Stephenie back.

<laughter>

DR:  Before we go let's get some websites.

Danielle:  I've just got my website up.

JM:  It's awesome.

Danielle:  DanielleDiLorenzo.com, check it out.  I have a contact page. You want to shoot me an email.  Say hello, well wish, anything.

Aras:  And if hats aren't your thing like the one she's got on, go to yogawitharas.com and if you just want to make fun of me, I've got a contact page where you can send stupid emails.  I probably won't read them.  If they're nice I will.

DR:  Great season.

JM: I really like this season, definitely one of my top five.

DR:  We had a great time. Thank you, the viewer for tuning in.  Thanks for your great calls.  We'll be back in the fall with more Survivor Live.
