Segment 3:

Caller:  How'd you like swimming with the dolphins and your buddy Greg?

Gregg:  It's a special experience to step out of the game, as detrimental as it is.  To swim with the dolphins, we went snorkeling at Cemetery Reef...sharing it with this buddy from home.  It's fabulous.  You want to play the game but you want to experience the culture. That stuff is important to me.   The Bai experience was tremendous.  This was no different.  The fact that we had friends from home that got to join in was great.   What they didn't show that was just heart-wrenching was the fact that Tom, Ian and Caryn didn't get to see their loved ones.

DR:  I loved it!

JM:  It was great TV.

DR:  They always wuss out and say "everyone come out for a minute".

Gregg:  It is good.

JM:  Ultimately that's the way it should be.  If you win you get to see your family.  Although I wouldn't have said that while I was balling hysterically.

JM:  We haven't even talked about Jenn yet.  I really started to like Jenn.  I didn't see much of her but when she ate those baluts I was like, I love you.

Gregg:  I was like, you should have saved me.

DR:  She powered you down with the baluts.

Gregg:  It wasn't the baluts, they weren't that disgusting.  I didn't feel that pressure like I needed to step it up.

JM:  You had all 3 in your mouth, that never works.

Gregg:  No, I went one by one and I was just kind of enjoying them  for some reason

JM: So the relationship between you and Jenn, are you more than friends?

Gregg:  Out there it's hard to be more than friends.  It's a disgusting environment.  You build a great friendship and a great bond.  There's hints of romance and this and that.  You never know.  I think the bond and friendship that we had out there was very real.  We have that to always fall back on.  But I'm in Chicago, she's in L.A.  Long distance.  Jenn's playing her own game, too.  She's smart, she's a good sounding board.  She's still there.

JM:  She was visibly upset at tribal council last night.

<clip of tribal council>

DR:  You get the first vote, you think, oh it's Caryn.  No big deal.  Second vote, you know.

Gregg:  Yeah, second vote, that's not what we agreed on.  It starts crumbling.  Get the third and I'm like, it's over.

JM:  Tom's comments at tribal council kind of was almost like when Janu was there.  Did you get a hint at all?

Gregg:  I didn't.  For some reason I didn't have balls enough, I'm thinking like, can I stand up and say 'time out'.   "Katie, you me and Jenn right now let's vote Tom out."  It happens so fast and then you're gone.

JM:  Jeff read the first two votes as Caryn and made you feel safe.

Caller:  Is there a relationship developing between Ian and Katie?

Gregg:  There are relationships across the board.  The 5 of us were really getting along.  You see Jenn and I cuddling a little bit.  Katie and Ian, from the previews of last week, I saw him fall down on the ground in tears.  Saying maybe he'll quit for her?  That trumps me asking for Jenn's permission.

DR:  I think it's a continuation of the acting theme.

JM:  I really don't think so.  He said "I've got a bond with Katie.  I told her brother-in-law I have a bond".  Even when she's not there, in his confessional  he's been talking about Katie.  I think he's genuine.  I think he hurt her feelings and she makes him feel awful.  Your emotions are like times a million out there.

Caller:  This is Ethan and I wanted to say Jenna you're my favorite Survivor ever.  Gregg, during tribal council when you're under the gun of Jeff Probst are you still playing the game, are you lying?  For me, I always felt a duty to give up the goods and give a little insight and a little truth.

Gregg:  He's sneaky and the more times he sees the show the sneakier he gets.  You gotta be cautious around him.  I used to actually try to go into tribal council with 3 bullet points.  Things I want to get across no matter what he asks.  If you chose your words carefully I don't think you're giving up a ton.

JM: Ethan are you gone?

DR:  Ethan is just in the next room.

Ethan:  I ate all the cookies.

JM:  At tribal council I never felt like I was giving up the goods.

DR:  He might ask someone a question and the only reason he's asking is to look over and watch another person's reaction.

Caller:  I was a big fan, Gregg.  On the day you voted out Willard, you approached Coby and told him that you would vote out Tom after Caryn when it was down to 7.  Why did you simply not make your move then and vote out Tom that night instead of Willard?

Gregg:  That's way too early. You're immediately seen as someone who is trying to scheme.   I would have dug my own grave there.

DR:  At that tribal council where Stephenie was supposed to be off and Janu was still there.  Jeff kept kind of probing and pushing, influencing.  When he was talking to Janu and she eventually laid down her torch, you must have just been hating it.

Gregg:  I was.  It wasn't our plan.  I can see both sides of the argument.  It was frustrating.  I think we gave Jeff material to kind of have it come up. Janu, from my perspective, didn't want to quit.  She wanted to be voted out. But we got back on track and I can't say my plan or focus would be any different.

Gregg:  What I remember most about you was when you broke down with your buddy and talked about your dad.

Gregg:  Survivor helped to reconfirm where my priorities are.  Being away from friends and family was huge.  My dad would have been a proud guy. That moment and the way I went out makes my mother's day and my sister's day.  My uncles, aunts, grandmother...I know that made them all proud.  That was worth every moment that they got to see where my heart really was.

JM:  Did you go home and just spend so much time with your mom?

Gregg:  Yeah on the insider clips I talk about going home and cooking with my mom.

Jenna:  I understand 110%.   So what are you going to do now?

Gregg:  I have alot of dreams and goals but my number 1 priority is that I'm working with a friend to raise knowledge about a local village in Sri Lanka.  We brought a film crew out there and put together a 5 minute film to try to raise money to help about a 150 families in Sri Lanka.  We're putting a website together, tsunamichallenge.org.  It's a great cause.
